So, the second question, non historical, the tactical question: How do you guys who play the Teutonic Order on the Teutonic Campaign(as I do)use Ritterbruder? Both versions. I think this topic should stay here, because it is about the Ritterbruder and the Teutonic Order's units in general, talking about their tactical values in the battlefield and how tough they are, as well as a historical discussion, so I think it does belong here, and I would rather it stayed here, because we are discussing the units themselves, the Teutonic Order's units, the Ritterbruder in particular, not just the history. I certainly think that they both look imposing and frightening, and this is true for both the mounted and dismounted versions.Īny other ideas why they wore them, if they really did as I hope? It says in the game that they wore them to frighten their opponents and to look imposing. And if something cool can be something very real too, that only makes it better. I would hope that it is, because they look so cool. Someone said on another forum that they actually wore these in reality. Let's talk about both.Īnyway, first off, about the Ritterbruder's Horned Helmets. However, this thread is not just historical discussion, it's also equally about the Ritterbruder units and their tactical uses, so it should stay here. I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post such a topic, so if it belongs somewhere else, mods feel free to move it.
